I know we have some fans of the series here. What are the thoughts on where things are headed?
I'm wondering where things are going between Furio and Carmella. One thing that has been strictly observed so far is that except for dinner guests Tony has thus far separated work and family. Furio getting with Carmella would cause too much mixing in the family I think, but it may be where they take it.
I've also heard that one prominant cast member may leave the show before season's end, in what way I don't know. Anyone have any guesses? Also, where do we think it's going with Adrianna?

Good question...there's been some interesting twists indeed.
Not really sure about the Carmella/Furio thing...she's been on the verge a couple of times before- first the attraction to the priest, and then with the painter...but she found herself in conflict with her religious beliefs, which won out in the end. Which is why she probably fixed him up on that blind date...but because she backed off twice before- this time she might go for it. But on the other hand, considering Furio came over from the "family" branch from the old country, I don't think he's that dumb to put himself in that situation.
Adrianna's gonna crack- she's too ditzy to be of any help to the Feds, and she knows she's screwed if anyone finds out they grabbed her. She can't handle the pressure and it's gonna push her over the edge- I say she either ODs or winds up in a padded room.
Then again, Christopher's totally addicted now, and he's gonna start messing up bigtime...Tony's not going to be happy, and if he turns up the heat on him, maybe Adrianna will tell him about the Feds in hope of saving him- and they'll both wind up in the witness protection program.

I remember them saying this season was going to focus on Tony as a husband. Each season had a theme in the blood family. I remember that the shrinks who analyze each show over at Slate wondered where the whole Karen bacalari thing was going. Now we see Janice is moving in, but I also think what if it wakes Carmella up to what she could have? It prompted Janice to dump Ralphie.
The preview made it seem like Adrianna's telling Christopher about the FBI. I'd buy the thing on Witness Protection, but you know if the person who leaves is a guy that thy'll get a bullet. They'd never put him in Witness Protection. It'd ruin the feel of the show.

Eh, if Janice gets together with Bobby, that's gonna be far from a blissful relationship...the kids don't like her- and she's already manipulating him. Nah, Adrianna was pressuring Christopher into marrying her...which now thinking about it- maybe she ain't so dumb afterall, law says you can't force a wife into tesifying against her husband. The heroin thing is definitely going to become a big problem as far as Christopher...They're insinuating a major character is gonna be gone by the end of the season- but it doesn't necessarily have to mean "whacked." Maybe Christopher screws up so bad and gets in too deep, Adrianna convinces him the witness protection program is their only way out- and they ride off into the sunset...though I think it might be a little hard for Adrianna to "blend in," in some small mid-west town. Lol!!

That would be like My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin!

But that is what Janice is best at! ;D Besides, she can't do as bad as Richie or Ralph. We also now see Tony has an assemblyman on the take. That should be interesting! But we also saw the deflation of Adrianna's gamble with marriage. She also still has that drug charge hanging over her head as a result.
I think the most interesting thing is the whole deal with Paulie. He clearly didn't like them rubbing in that he never married, and he's feeling resentful-just the way Pussy did. He seems all but ready to jump onboard with Johnny Sacks. Of course Johnny can't just outright steal him, so he had to discourage it, but it could come.

I think we may have seen how they will end the series should they chose to do so after the next. Furio really has it bad for Carmella! I thought it would die off after a while, but apparently not! He just might try to kill Tony.
And Carmella appears like she would be more than receptive to the idea. I've never seen her this mad over Tony's girlfriends, and she's finally looking to get financial legs of her own, especially after hearing that every mob widow has it tough. I wonder what it's going to come to if Tony ever finds out about the cash from the duckfeed. and is this girl Valentina like Gloria Trillo? I haven't seen that far yet of the past.
The final part is Ralphie. The preview had him getting in some serious stuff. We saw in the beginning how these guys react to unusual sex acts like cunalingus, could you imagine how they'll react to Ralph's preference? Methinks we've seen a turning point in the series.

Yeah, that thing with Furio does make things interesting...and gives what Tony said in passing, that he wanted to be around to see his grandkids, a whole new spin. I think he knows Carmella took the money after he found the nail on his dresser...but what's he gonna say at this point?? Lol!! She got him good there!! That Valentina...something's up there. Don't think she's another Gloria, but something's definitely up. She came outta nowhere- and pushed her way in too quick. Too soon to say on that one...but you know, the Russians still have a score to settle...hmmm. Looked to me like Ralphie killed another bimbo...but who?? Valentina?? And after he killed the last one, Tony almost killed him. And being what he knows about him now, don't think he's gonna have much tolerance for it. Yep, should be interesting, either way.

I'll have to watch the preview on the website to see the dead body, I didn't catch that one. But if you saw one, yeah, it's probably her. Because she said she already broke up with Ralphie and she didn't fear for her life. he would have hit her then if that was the trigger. I see one of two routes here. If she does die than that will get Ralphie killed. If she lives than it will be an impetus to Carmella to do something. They did say that this season would focus on their marriage, and to underscore this the kids have been largely absent, although that could also be them growing up. And her name may be Russian, but she said she was Cuban/Italian.

Hmm, so we know that she's alive and kicking til the end at least. I'm wondering what the purpose of having her is though besides a body for the guys to drool over is, especially if we are going to be seeing her extensively. Gloria only lasted a little while, and then left it hanging until they decided to do the same to her (pun intended ;D). If there is still half the season left and she lasts at least into the next, she must be a big part. Also it'll be interesting to see where this pushes Carmella. So she's not Gloria, but she is no sweet innocent exploited goomah either.
Well Bega has been noticed for slapping Tony, but usually a love scene like that isn't very conducive to a top slot career. Call it a double standard or whatever, but very few top actresses got their start that way, or if they did they hide it deep. Just a thought. I also remember only one other episode where they were even nearly as explicit. What does this say as to where they are taking the show.
I also noticed that it called her his conquest. somehow she seems to be nobody's conquest. If anything she seems to have seduced him more than the other way around. I think we're going to see them both playing with each other. I also want to see how Ralph takes this one. He can't do much cause Tony's the boss, but he'll surely be steamed. Also, by backstory, does this mean that Tony and Valantina have met before, or is this the relationship with Ralph?

Nope, she's definitely got a plan...and since she's gonna be around next season, yep, I think this is gonna push Carmella to Furio now. Well, if you look back on all the other seasons, they've always had one really explicit episode. And the backstory is her & Ralph and his, um, tendency towards the kinky. Kind of like the backstory to Melfi's rape now is her son starting to get screwed up, which her shrink is telling her, is due to the rape.

Also, with what we know about the mobs view of kinky sex, especially what Ralph does, and Tony knows about it, what's Tony gonna do?
