Roughneck.... Howdy! Thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot. I hope you've been surviving up here in the NYC market without a country station. I've almost entirely abandoned radio for CDs, so now I get country music on demand, as it were. Even in the car, as I've sold both of my pickups and purchased a new car. What's new with me? Well, I guess I should mention that Mr. Shooter soon will be the husband of the most wonderful woman on the face of the earth (my apologies to LS). ;D Need I say more? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Aw, Shooter- apology accepted, and no you needn't say more...I completely understand- I know you have to say that, otherwise it's the couch for you. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D That aside, the ever unforgetable LS extends a big congra Tulations to you...

When congratulations Mr Shooter! Are we all invited? ;D Well, I'm doing fine without a country station. I have a nice system in the car that gives me plenty of music, and the internet suffices for radio.

Hey, Mr. Shooter! Congratulations and welcome to the ranks of the enlightened! ;D I won't get into an argument about who exactly is the most wonderful woman on the earth, though. Sold your pickups? Oh, tsk, tsk. At least you're still listening to the right music. ;D

Everyone..... Thanks for the warm welcome back....and for the congraTulations. ;D You guys....aw shucks! SAM, to be fair, let's just say that we both equally would be nothing without our better halves. As for the trucks, I had to do it. With respect to the big one, someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse. And with respect to the little one, my mechanic gave it a decidedly unclean bill of health, if you know what I mean. I traded it in and was lucky to get every penny. But no fear, kids. I'll have a truck again soon. Mr. Shooter just isn't cut out for the cookie-cutter world of the sedan. SAM, rest assured, my musical tastes have not veered off course. In fact, I'm currently soliciting names of good country wedding songs (my betrothed, who unfortunately is not a purveyor of country music, has agreed to mix it up musically for our wedding). Any suggestions? Roughneck, glad to hear that your making do without a country station to call your own. Hang in there....the New York market, sooner or later, will realize the error of its ways. LS, I've been in YOUR doghouse before. It's not the Hilton, but...... ;D

Mr. Shooter, I'd say go with Don Williams every time! I think even the non-country fans would like his smooth voice, and his songs just ooze romance. (Don was great at OUR wedding, anyway!) The new one is great, too.

SAM, yes, I agree. Don is one of my favorite love song crooners. "You're My Best Friend" or "I Believe In Love" might just do the trick.
BTW, how are things down Texas way?

LS, I've been in YOUR doghouse before. It's not the Hilton, but...... ;D Yes, far more comfy than a bed of hot coals... And now that this thread is turning into another mushfest ...LS must be off now...she beginning to feel the twitching starting to commence, and she left behind her supply of barf bags elsewhere.

Yep, Mr. Shooter, "You're My Best Friend" is "our song." But we'd better pack it in before we kill poor ol' Sis. ;D Things is good down these parts. We're drying out nicely...
