That thought never occurred to me. I'm not sure if that was the problem, but I read this before I logged in and dumped them before I tried. I had no problem this time, so that might have been it. Me neither...pretty simple- but there were so many login problems it was hard to tell... If that was your problem- glad that worked then. Yep...

8? When did they put out 8? It seems stupid to me that you have to have all the very latest updates to work with this, but I guess I've got no choice and I'll get on it. Thanks for taking the time to figure that one out Travelinman!

I thought I'd mention this. I logged in just now and got the following error message: Error: Important Notice! Your username has changed to roland. Please use this new username to log in.A new surprise awaits us each day? or has this whole place gone mad? I don't get this one at all, why would they change the "R" to "r"? If this is to make logins not case sensitive, then whichever way I entered it shouldn't have made a difference. Who wrote this software? Alfred E. Newman?

Hey- anybody remember how just 5 short years ago SAM was trying to teach me how to import smilies?? ;D I've come a long way baby... Hell, I remember when "import" meant a cheap bauble from China. ;D Seriously, I think I've been around long enough to remember when we all used to inhabit the "basement"...and proudly so. Before that, I remember vainly trying to save the Y-107 message board - there were a few hard-core regulars who actually gave a damn about country music in NYC and openly chatted about it before we were unceremoniously shut down. Can't a guy be set in his ways anymore? ;D Geez, you'd think I was married to you, LS. ;D

Uh-oh...looks like the honeymoon's over!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Grasping for straws there, LS. ;D Honeymoon's in full swing, thank you very much. The only argument I've had thus far has been over whether there's been enough billable hours in any given month. ;D Okay, so I admit - that was the official sign-off time. But did I really go to bed at that time way back when? ;D As for the problem I was having when logging in, I think I've resolved it. That being said, I can tell that I was logging in with my screen name and password (as requested, and per protocol), but when I'd hit enter, it would indicate that I wasn't logged in. I'd circumvent such nonsense by clicking on the "home" tab above - when I did so, I immediately received confirmation that I was logged on...and that all was right with the world. ;D

Hell- then we mighta gotten something that made sense and actually worked... See...now my first guess woulda been Bill Gates. ;D

Can't a guy be set in his ways anymore? ;D Geez, you'd think I was married to you, LS. ;D Shooter...you'll be buried in those wingtips ;D and thanks- that thought's enough to give me nightmares for at least several months. She charges you?? Smart girl!! ;D ;D Ah...that's yet another bug. Some people are experiencing the same thing...they login, their SN shows up in the info center as logged in, but the message at the top says 'please login.' Appears to be a glitch in the '6 hour' duration option on the login screen. People are saying the way they found around that, is to change the duration option to 'forever' and then they have no problem.

See...now my first guess woulda been Bill Gates. ;D Touche, LS! ;D Perhaps they should consider trying out for The Apprentice. Can you imagine if they presented him with this one? He wouldn't need to say a word, the look on his face would say it all. "You're FIRED!"

Shooter...you'll be buried in those wingtips ;D and thanks- that thought's enough to give me nightmares for at least several months. ;D Well now, I have to agree you, LS. ;D I paid a pretty penny for those suckers, so please make sure they're polished to a exacting standard (a spit shine, if necessary) before I'm in that coffin. ;D Knowing that you eat Spaghettios every night gives me nightmares, so I guess we're even. ;D ;D You know what I meant, LS. If I were married to you (yikes, there I go again ;D ), you'd care about the bottom line - the billable hours, the benjamins, as it were - too. ;D

I'm reminded of when I was a kid and continuously bumped my head on the low basement entryway. My parents figured I'd eventually learn to avoid it. They were wrong. 'Twas a harbinger of my message board experience. ;D

Knowing that you eat Spaghettios every night gives me nightmares, so I guess we're even. ;D That's a blatant exaggeration Shooter!! Sooo not true - why there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam; spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam......or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam... Yep...uh-huh...most definitely... Like I said... ;D Hmmm...Freud would have a field day with this... ;D Of course I would Shooter. But I'd have carefully thought all that through before the fact... Would you be around enough to incur enough in fees and surcharges to make it beneficial to my bottom line?? ;D

I am just letting everyone know that ProBoards will be updating their servers to a new version 4 software during the next week. So at some point our server will be down while they do the update and the forum will be inaccessable for a time. They are doing it one server at a time and they haven't given a date when our server is scheduled to be updated. Well, that was a shocker. I had to have my password emailed to me.
