Today I listened to some of my cassette tapes which contain music from country radio - when country radio played Real Country Music. I don't think I could put a price tag on these tapes. I hope I don't have to pull them out in twenty years to teach my 3 and 4 year old nephews what country radio used to be in "the old days."

I listened to "The Road Less Traveled" By George Strait and "The Real Thing" by Rodney Hayden. Has anyone else listened to the Rodney Hayden CD? If you like "real" country music I think you might like it. ;D

Rodney's CD is great!! ...There's a whole bunch of those good ol' boys out there doing the real thing- unfortunately not many people get to hear it, since they don't get mainstream radio play... Anyway- popped in Marty Robbins' Gunfighter Ballads yesterday, and been in this "oldies" groove ever since...a little Ernest Tubb, some Hank, Ray Price, Gene Watson, Gary Stewart, some Vern Gosdin and now, some early Tanya Tucker... 8) Hey, thanks Roughneck...I could stand hearing a little John Anderson myself. A little Straight Tequila Night should do the trick... ;D
