www.gomemphis.com/mca/music/article/0,1426,MCA_505_2304227,00.html guitarist Paul Burlison. Burlison earned immortality for his guitar work on the 1956 rockabilly classic "Train Kept A Rollin' " by The Johnny Burnette Trio. With its use of distortion and primitive feedback, some have called it the first Heavy Metal record. The Burnette version has been remade many times since, notably by The Yardbirds in the 60s and Aerosmith in the 70s. Burnette himself (who drove a truck for Memphis' Crown Electric Company around the same time Elvis did), later abandoned rockabilly for pop and had hits like "You're Sixteen". He was killed in a boating accident in 1964. The other menber of the Trio, Johnny's brother Dorsey Burnette, died in 1979.
