If they banned that too, they'd have a helluva lot of instrumentals on their hands. I've got nothing against kids, I've got a couple of my own. But some common sense please! There has to be a line and not everything was meant for kids. If they're too young, they don't belong, simple as that. If they're old enough, then they're old enough to learn that life ain't Disneyland. The insanity. I know what you're saying after I saw 8 years of history rewritten and whitewashed in one weekend. I lived though it and I don't remember things that way at all. ;D Nope sorry SNIZZ common sense is now optional equipment. It has been phased out of the human genome. As far as the 8 years, just remember Iraq was responsible for 9-11. People are so wrapped up in their own lives or working so many hours, they either do'nt care or can't be bothered.

Well I assume you mean Reagan's funeral? That was to be expected. Went and poked a stick into some of his fans, they didn't like it much! ;D ;DHi Roughneck hope all is well. I served under his administration, if his fans are anything like his military policy, be carefull when you poke. I love selective memory loss.

I'll even grant the day of mourning, but they already gave him an airport, aircraft carrier, and office building. What galls me is they want to stick his name on EVERYTHING! The Pentagon, money, they even want to carve him on Mount Rushmore! The only thing I haven't heard is renaming the country! ;D ;D Ohhhhhh now you got it. The United States of Ronnie. Our new flag can have a chimp holding a football.

I don't care about the day of mourning- that also goes with the 'turf'...but they said 'closings' were only gonna pertain to non-essential government offices. Since when are VA hospitals non-essential ?? So help me- the next hypocrite that spouts 'support our troops'...the last shred of class I've got left goes out the window and I'm gonna start spittin' in some faces. NOW LS you've gone and done it. VA hospitals are non essential They mostly care for the vets that are old, served in past conflicts, or have jobs paying 6 bucks an hour and NO BENEFITS In todays mind set "supporting our troops" means the active ones. If you're retired, permanently disabled, dead or MIA you're not one of our troops. I was talking to a neighbor the other day, and that is exactly how he felt until his son became a member of the US Army and was wounded in Iraq........Now he understands my anger and distaste for what we have become.

What'd I say? The pissed off American white chick is off and running again! Mama always told me, never discuss politics or religion in public. ;D But it looks like you're in good company there Red. ;D Did you see the bullsh--t going on at the Sony site? Do they pay these nutjobs to spend their lives stalking websites? Unfrigginbelievable! The timing might be about right for Miami to go for a re-re-release on this one. ;D "Can you hear me? I said wake up! Where's the voice of America?! I know that we knew right from wrong once upon a time. Everything we stood for has been compromised. I been quiet, too quiet, while across our borderline my people lie." Sheeeeeet, 1984 and nothing's changed but the names. The bombast. You hit the nail on the head there. Actors, pure and simple. And it's been over a week now and you're right, I haven't heard anyone even mention the irony in passing. I wonder how come nobody went and asked the Iraqi people about their feelings on Ronnie? No I don't think Disneyland is accurate. Disneyland is fun and enjoyable. This is America "land of the free".......as long as you agree with the popular thought or cause of the time. I amazes me how the powers that be think by erasing something from movies, posters, billboards, and so on it will go away. When you think about it......the more advanced and educated we are supposed to be, the dumber we are becoming. Let's see smoking and drinking in the blues What are we thinking. Travelinman, it's cool to finally meet up with you. I've heard about you from Red. It's great to meet a fellow vet and sounds like we served roughly around the same time. Maybe you missed my point Granted, Disneyland is fun and where this country is at now isn't. But Disneyland's a place where everything is sanitized and perfect, good always prevails and everyone lives happily ever after. That's not the real life I've lived and that's the problem. I'm with you that Americans have become dumber, but we've always had a history of whitewashing history and doing away with the unpleasant details. American Indians were reduced to being the bad guys and white Americans were the good guys. Lincoln technically freed the slaves, but Jim Crow made sure it didn't become a reality for another century. And yes of course, Saddam and Iraq were responsible for 9/11. ;D

Ooops...I did it again!! ;D ;D Folks, how appropriate is it we're discussing Reagan on the BLUES forum? ;D Totally Roughneck...listen to old blues songs- tons of 'em were majorly political. Besides...not like anyone but a few of us read or post this board anyway...It's an important topic that needs to be talked about- and looks like there's some here who want to talk about it. It's outta the way here...so anyone not interested can easily avoid it.

Hey LS I told you I'd make it back here. You know my feelings about the state we're in. So I'll just leave it at that. ;D ;D So I see!! LOL...you sure were busy!! ;D (I'd be careful though TM...that Patriot Act ...you might wind up getting your sorry a$$ hauled off in the middle of the night as an 'enemy combatant'!! ) Yep...I know- it was nice bumping into you. We should do it more often...especially if you're buyin' again...

Yeah true...what was I thinkin'?? Afterall I'm only the daughter of a vet (of whom I'm very proud) and my mistake to go totally batty when I see him (and others like him) getting screwed over by the country he unselfishly served...

What'd I say? The pissed off American white chick is off and running again! Mama always told me, never discuss politics or religion in public. ;D ;D ;D ;D I heard about it Friday morning...but was so busy and in a rush- didn't have a chance then to have a looksee. What a load of crap!! I wouldn't be surprised...maybe these are the so-called jobs the DuHbya 'created'. (And noticed a certain couple of people couldn't help but jump into the fray... ;D ) ESP??!! I've been playing that album constantly lately...20 years and the relevance is totally scary ain't it?? How 'bout this one... "I am a Patriot and I love my country, because my country is all I know. And I ain't no communist, and I ain't no capitalist. And I ain't no socialist and I sure ain't no imperialist. And I ain't no democrat and I ain't no republican either. And I only know one party and it's name is freedom. I am a Patriot." (...oh and PS...think I'll take the liberty to add a line..."I ain't no liberal and I ain't no neocon..." ;D ) Bingo!!

Looks like me & Rick are going on a field trip too!! The kids at the store wanted tickets- BAD...we had access to pre-sale, but there was an 8 ticket limit. So he bought 8 and I bought 8 and now we have 12 teenagers to babysit in rows 18 and 19!! They're great kids though, they're really into BB...so it should be a blast. ;D Somebody neglected to tell somebody this part. (And noticed a certain couple of people couldn't help but jump into the fray... ;D ) Just doing my civic duty. ;D And it's fun. Here's my pick from the album. "Get yo'r hands outta yo'r pockets----It's time to VOTE! Vote that mutha OUT!"

When I went into the service my intentions were pure, serve my country, defend the constitution, and the people. Then after serving you understand it is like the law all smoke and mirrors. You're not defending anything except the interests of the rich and powerful. I can not beleive how cynical I have become.
