PBS Documentary Scheduled
In August, PBS will air Blues Story, a documentary featuring interviews and performance footage of the genre's most important figures. The program, produced by Jay Levey, Richard Foos, and Living Blues co-founder Jim O'Neal, will include interviews with artists such as R.L. Burnside, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy, Little Milton, and the late Lowell Fulson, John Jackson, Charles Brown, and Othar Turner. The film will be released on DVD and a two-disc soundtrack CD package on September 29.
Blues Story precedes Martin Scorsese's seven-part film series The Blues, to air on PBS later this fall.
