You know, I normally don't wear a hat except at work, but I think I'll have to wear my Mets cap that night! ;D

LS, I have no doubt that you and my better half will hit it off nicely. ;D Both of you take great glee in roasting me on the proverbial spit (ah, yes, the women in my life ;D ) . Plus, you're both fans of that unmentionable sport. Not hard to tell who will have the upper hand that evening! ;D And you were a HS teacher?? Have you ever considered taking one of those 'assertiveness training' courses Shooter?? ;D Ah well if the discussion of tight ends & back fields in motion doesn't spin your wheels- we could always discuss the finer points of...golf!! ;D Well my dear Shooter- you'll have to figure out another way around solving the WOIM thing. It's a resteraunt, so unfortunately by law, the doggies must stay behind at home. My prized helmet only comes out for use at my beloved CBGB's (least for now )...My long hair covers the pointy ears ...The pitchfork & broomstick are now considered possible 'deadly weapons,' so neither'll make it past the front door...and (helmet aside) LS isn't a 'hat' kinda girl... ;D Aw shoot Alice- I know how bad you've been itchin' to get a chance to see him...I could never forget my pals down in FL!!

I'm ready for a new Dale Watson CD. How about you guys? Has anyone heard if he has anything on the burner? Dale Watson To Record in Nashville For the first time in his career, country artist Dale Watson will record two new projects in Nashville. Watson has never recorded in Music City and has recorded his albums in Dallas, Austin, or other music hubs. Joining Watson in the studio will be the legendary producer Aubrey Mayhew, and steel guitar wizard Lloyd Green. Mayhew will oversee the production of the two CDs and Green will handle the musical arrangements. Watson will record for three days in Nashville, April 25-28 when he records songs from the Dream City Music catalog, which Koch Records Nashville has recently acquired. There will be two separate CDs, with the first one being released in August 2005 and the second one in March 2006. Watson will make an appearance in Nashville before he heads into the studio, at the Mercy Lounge, 1 Cannery Row, on April 7.

This Sunday night, April 10th, join me and a number of true country aficionados to see the preeminent country singer and balladeer DALE WATSON, at The Rodeo Bar in New York . There’s no cover; “seating” may be actually standing near the bar – and after all, what’s wrong with that? Trust me when I say this, Dale is without peer, a nonpareil practitioner of REAL country, not this corny big hat and belt buckle nonsense. That’s my opinion. You might remember his incredible song “Caught” that I played religiously every morning during a prior radio stint. Trust me, if you love country, you’ll love Dale Watson. Take it to the bank. The Rodeo Bar is located at 375 3rd Avenue (corner of 27th St & Third Ave, NYC). The number is (212) 683-6500. As a matter of disclosure, this is not an event sponsored by WOR Radio or any radio or entertainment entity. It’s just great music, plain and simple. Lionel dalewatson.comwww.rodeobar.comI hope you guys have a good time!!! I'm sitting in Tampa waiting to listen to Lionel's interview with Dale Watson!! By golly, I knew I liked the Lionel show. Hot damn. ;D

Great show! Little short though. Found someone to convert to Dale and brought them along. Didn't run into anyone from here though. Packed as usual. Bought the Europena only release while I was there. Got home about 4:30 in the morning! ;D I'm actually hoping for him to come to Allentown again, as there you actually have room.

Didn't run into anyone from here though. Sorry I couldn't find you dude ...bad scene- he's totally outgrown that rathole. Major disappointment here- might as well have stayed home & popped in a CD. Hope his next time through, he does like everyone else and finds somewhere else to play- otherwise I'll be staying home with my CDs for sure.

You certainly couldn't have blown your cover in good conscience. ;D Seriously, sounds like my wingtips would have been scuffed by the crowds if I had shown up. From that standpoint, I'm glad I passed. Do you know how much a shoeshine costs nowadays? ;D

Well now, LS, you're the mystery woman. You certainly couldn't have blown your cover in good conscience. ;D For the chance to finally get to meet my star pupil ;D (and oldest cyber-friend )...yeah Shooter the ever elusive WOIM would've gladly made a rare exception & blown her cover. ;D Unfortunately, since he wasn't sure if he'd make it- and I wasn't sure he'd be there- and with the place as packed as it was...it just wasn't in the stars this time. (And yeah- the old wing tips would've definitely been dog meat...no pun intended. ;D )
