There, ya see? I never was much of a matchmaker. I'm one of those guys who'll look at some friends and ask, "So when did you two start dating?" and get the answer, "Six months ago."

I'm actually kinda shocked they playing a very good balance of everything even Pat Green throwin every now and then. Now if I could get them to move one of the Djs from k99 over there I'd be happy, cause I can not stand the afternoon guy on 97.

Today it was Deryl Dodd's "Pearl Snaps" and Rick Dill's "Unfinished Business," both of whom I can recommend with unabashed enthusiasm.

Ahh I knew you'd like Rick's Great acoustic sound huh? Me? Today it was Porter Hall and Daryle Singletary. I listened to Daryle so much I didn't have a chance to listen to Johnny Paycheck's yet.....but Johnny on the last track of Daryle's is chilling. Just the words and knowing where he was when he recorded it. Powerful stuff!

Today some Dwight Yoakam (Tomorrow's Sounds Today) and Dalelvis! Dale Watson can sing anything. And now I'd better rush off to work before I'm late.

I've been listening to a lot of Dwight, as I am in deep mourning for my inability to go see Dwight tomorrow night when the Neon Circus hits our local "Country Thunder" (a four-day astronomically expensive fest). Okay, I'm a hopeless addict, I admit it. But I don't know if I want to join a 12-step program to recover from Dwightaholism. ;D So I listened to "If There Was a Way" and "Hillbilly Deluxe," am now reaching for "Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room."

You are a brave soul Wildrider I end up going to everything that shows up around here locally. I hate to be out of the loop We don't get much excitement in terms of roadshows here though -- although Terri Clark is coming back soon, with her entire band this time. Last year she travelled through with her acoustic show. No alt-country acts here at all The Neon Circus is coming 4 hours away from here -- but I won't be going....with the exchange it makes for one hefty priced concert. now playing in your honor: Daryle and Dwight singing 'Love's Gonna Live Here'

Yesterday- Elvis Costello's When I was Cruel (4 thumbs up...Elvis got his <rock> groove back. 8) ) and Sheryl Crow's C'mon, C'mon.
Today, listened to Kevin Denney, and Old & In The Way's Breakdown and That High Lonesome Sound...boy that Jerry Garcia sure was one hot banjo picker- and always knew Wild Horses was one of the best country songs "that wasn't", ever written. Good Stuff!! 8)

The only thing I listened to today was the Opry. Tell me, was Patty's excellent performance and Roy Clark's awesome fingers picking "Ghost Riders in the Sky" worth sitting through that maudlin piece of junk the young rock star Steiner did AND Chesney?? Opry. I'm with Patty. "You want me to sing that on the OPRY!?" (Roy's performance came CLOSE to making it worth while. Close. But if I hear "Maybe She's an Angel" ONE more time...) But then we turned to the History Channel, and it's been the story of Egypt all afternoon.

I listened to the CD channel "Real Country" - I call it, even though it is called New Country. I love that channel, I wish they would get the tag lines repaired though.
